This morning, a road accident occurred in Vlora, resulting in the death of a 78-year-old man after he was struck by a vehicle. The incident was recorded at around 7:15 a.m., near the former Train Station.

According to police, a 57-year-old man, a resident of Vlora, was driving the vehicle when he hit the elderly man, who was traveling by bicycle.
The elderly man was transported to Vlora Regional Hospital for medical treatment, but despite doctors’ efforts, he died from his injuries.
The vehicle driver was arrested in flagrante delicto on suspicion of the criminal offense of “Violation of road traffic rules.”
