In recent days, several fire hotspots have been identified in different parts of the country, mainly in open areas, landfills, and surfaces with dry vegetation.
The Crisis Management Center announced that dozens of fires were recorded in open areas over the weekend alone. Of these, 9 have been completely extinguished, while one hotspot remains active in the Municipality of Haraçina.

A similar situation is also being reported in countries across the region, in addition to the fires recorded in our country.
In Greece, major forest fires have engulfed the island of Evia, known as a tourist destination, while the Greek authorities have ordered the urgent evacuation of residents.
Several fire hotspots have also been reported in Albania, however, the authorities there say the situation is under control. The fires have been concentrated mainly in the areas of Lezha and Tropoja, where the situation appears more severe. Firefighting forces and emergency services are continuing their work to extinguish and monitor the hotspots that remain active.
