Following a request from the Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu, the Committee on Human Rights, Gender Equality and Petitions has opened the competition for the People’s Advocate.

Seven members of this committee voted in favor of announcing the competition.
In the same committee, Vetëvendosje MP Adelina Tërshani also highlighted the issue of recent killings, especially those targeting women.
She called on law enforcement institutions not to limit themselves to reacting after individual cases, but to also help prevent these killings.
