The head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ardian Gjini, has refused Speaker of Parliament Albulena Haxhiu’s invitation for a meeting with political parties, presenting his position on the current political and institutional crisis.

Through a communique addressed to Haxhiu, Gjini stressed that she does not hold the post of elected president of the country and therefore has no authority to act as a unifying factor for political forces.
In his letter, the Alliance leader accuses Haxhiu and Prime Minister Albin Kurti of using the meeting as a pretext to justify a previously made decision to lead the country towards new elections, this time in a situation of institutional chaos.
According to Gjini, the real aim of these meetings is to prolong the current blockade until a date that suits them for holding the vote.
He added that the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo has understood this game and will not serve as an alibi for it. If the majority really wants the votes and the quorum, then you have the six points that the Alliance has proposed, Gjini concluded in his letter.
