At the request of the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, two apartments and a garage have been seized as part of asset investigation No. 02 of 2026, targeting citizen A.A. He has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of drug trafficking.
The investigation showed that the verifiable income of A.A. and his family does not match their expenditure and property purchases. In other words, the person under investigation did not have the financial capacity to cover these investments.

The forensic accounting report and the evidence collected confirm that the assets owned by the individuals under investigation are contrary to the criteria set out in Articles 11 and 24 of Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009. This is due to a significant gap between the assets identified and legitimate sources of income, which are insufficient to explain their origin.
Based on these facts and the asset investigation conducted into citizen A.A. and his family circle, his involvement in the criminal activity of trafficking narcotic substances, as defined under Article 283/a of the Criminal Code, has been proven. This criminal offence falls within the scope of the aforementioned law. As a result, assets have been generated that cannot be justified by legally declared earnings. Consequently, the Prosecutor’s Office at the Tirana Court of First Instance seized the following properties: a one-bedroom apartment with an area of 66.33 m², together with a 44 m² veranda, in a multifunctional complex on Xhanfize Keko Street; as well as a two-bedroom apartment with an area of 87.9 m² and a garage on level -2 with an area of 16 m², in another complex under construction on Kahreman Ylli Street.
