For weeks, citizens have taken to the streets in protest, presenting a series of demands, with Edi Rama’s resignation remaining the main one.
Protesters are also calling for the government’s removal and the creation of a technical government with a 12-month mandate. According to them, this is a necessary step to guarantee a different political process.
The list of demands also includes the repeal of several laws which, according to protesters, run counter to the public interest.
Organizers and participants in the protests have stated that they will not back down from their stance until Edi Rama leaves his post as prime minister.
