Because the boat’s exact location was not clear at first, local tourism operators were also involved in the operation.
After the search, the boat was located deep in the Buna River, around 32 kilometers from the river mouth.
According to police, the “Morea” vessel was being operated by citizen A.B., 46, a resident of Prishtina, who had been left in difficulty as a result of an engine problem.
Border Police services provided the necessary assistance and enabled his safe return, along with the boat, to the mooring station for vessels in Pulaj, Velipojë.
The Border Police are urging citizens and tourists to call 112 in emergency cases.
