Armando Ndreu, 36, who was born in Shkodra and was wanted internationally, has been arrested in Spain for extradition to Albania.
He was apprehended during the international operation codenamed “The Wanted,” following an exchange of information between State Police units and Interpol Madrid.

Police said the Shkodra Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction had ordered Ndreu’s pretrial detention in 2022.
The charges relate to an incident in March 2022 in the Skënderbeg neighborhood of Shkodra. According to police, for trivial reasons, he fired an automatic firearm at a business owned by S. S. The gunfire caused only material damage.
Ndreu is accused of the criminal offenses of attempted murder and illegal possession and manufacture of firearms, explosive weapons and ammunition.
Interpol Tirana is working with its counterparts in Madrid to complete the procedures for his extradition to Albania.
