The construction sector in North Macedonia recorded growth of 21.9 percent in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier. The data were published on Facebook by Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikolloski.

According to him, construction work worth a total of 14.9 billion denars, or around 242 million euros, was carried out during this period. Nikolloski said that the expansion of construction activity represents an important pillar of the domestic economy.
“These figures show that the government’s measures are having an effect. Investments in motorways, expressways, railways, airports and more than 1,200 projects across municipalities will continue at an even faster pace.
We are turning the country into a genuine strategic hub of the Balkans. We are building North Macedonia,” Nikolloski said.
