Several wildfires were reported overnight in Shkodër County, specifically in the areas of Shkodër, Malësi e Madhe and Vau i Dejës.

The intervention by firefighting crews brought the flames in these areas under control within a few hours.
In Vau i Dejës, the operation is still ongoing. Around 30 firefighters worked continuously throughout the night, while teams from the Shkodër, Pukë and Fushë-Arrëz fire departments were deployed to support the Vau i Dejës fire department. Personnel and a fire engine from the Armed Forces also joined the operation.
Thanks to the intervention, the fire was contained, the threat to homes was averted and the transmission line route was protected.
Only one fire remains active in Vau i Dejës, with crews on the ground working to extinguish it completely.
Coordination between local and central operational forces has been maintained by the Shkodër County Prefecture in cooperation with the National Civil Protection Agency.
Shkodër Prefect Holta Duda expressed her gratitude to the firefighters, the Armed Forces, Civil Emergency structures, the forestry service, the police and local volunteers who took part in the operation.
