The head of state announced that every possible resource has been mobilized to respond to the crisis and that more than 1,500 military personnel are joining firefighting forces on the front line.
He added that authorities have erected and reinforced protective barriers to stop the advance of the flames. At the same time, Macron confirmed that the fire in the Landes area has been brought under control.
