News24 has secured exclusive footage from the dramatic moment when Refit Buzi released his ex-partner, Rozalinda Plaka, whom he held hostage after a serious family crime.
The serious incident turned tragic in the village of Vidhisht in Roskovec, where the 35-year-old Buzi killed his ex-father-in-law and ex-mother-in-law with a shotgun, then took his ex-fiancée hostage and fled the scene.

The release of the young woman came only after several hours of tense negotiations with the special RENEA forces, who had surrounded the area where the perpetrator was hiding.
Although Rozalinda Plaka was rescued, the incident ended with another victim yesterday afternoon, as 35-year-old Refit Buzi took his own life with the same shotgun used in the crime, after 8 hours of negotiations with RENEA forces.
The Director of Fier Police, Erion Ahmeti, in a statement to the media, said that during the siege, the 35-year-old had threatened several times to turn the gun on himself, a threat he carried out after releasing the hostage.
Police structures are continuing investigations to fully clarify all circumstances and motives that led to this serious incident.
