From the ranks of BDI, they assess that the open admission by VLEN representatives that they are “terribly weak” in government structures does not constitute a justification, but proof of a deep political failure.

According to this party, while the region is making progress, North Macedonia is sinking deeper and deeper into isolation, and the political and institutional positions of Albanians are weakening more and more every day.
“Representation is shrinking, the Albanian language is being marginalized, institutions are being closed to Albanians, and the entire heritage built over years is being called into question. VLEN cannot hide behind the power of OBRM-PDUKM. Citizens have every right to ask: if you are so powerless, why do you continue to stay in the Government, and whose interests are you serving by being there?”
Also, BDI emphasizes that public opinion expects substantiated answers regarding the ever-increasing accusations of concentration of economic influence, tenders, and business interests around the close family and political circle of Izet Mexhiti in Skopje and beyond.
“These suspicions necessarily require transparent and institutional clarifications. This combination of political weakness, degradation of the Albanians’ position, and suspicions of personal gain is an alarm that should awaken every citizen,” BDI concludes.
