State Police have issued a warning urging all operators of watercraft along the southern coast, as well as drivers and pedestrians, to exercise caution tomorrow and the following day, after forecasts warned of deteriorating marine and atmospheric hydrometeorological conditions.

According to forecasts, from noon on July 24, 2026, until the morning of July 25, 2026, small boats and fishing vessels intending to operate outside the Bay of Vlora and the Bay of Saranda, in open waters and along the Dhërmi–Himarë–Saranda coastline, should avoid going out to sea due to unfavorable hydrometeorological conditions during this period.
Operators of these vessels should exercise increased caution, take the worsening weather conditions into account, and avoid any trip out to sea that could endanger their safety and that of the people on board.
Likewise, given forecasts of deteriorating atmospheric conditions tomorrow, State Police are urging citizens and all drivers of cars and motorcycles to exercise increased caution, comply with traffic rules and speed limits, maintain a safe distance, and avoid dangerous maneuvers.
Pedestrians are advised to remain vigilant and exercise increased caution while walking, particularly in rainy conditions or when roads are wet.
State Police are urging all users of small boats and fishing vessels, as well as all road users, to exercise the utmost caution not only during this period but at all times, with the aim of improving safety and protecting lives.
