“Albanian protesters have once again pelted lawmakers with eggs, as anti-government demonstrations against corruption and the resort continue for a seventh week,” the media outlet noted.

Al Jazeera also quoted several demonstrators, one of whom said Rama’s government must be brought down because it is corrupt.

“Our land has been sold. We have no medicine in hospitals. Our government is corrupt. Albania has suffered for years. We are here for the people, for the country. We need a new government. We must bring down this government,” the protester said.

Another protester also outlined their demands, including the prime minister’s resignation and the repeal of several laws.

“The Albanian people can no longer be deceived. They are selling Albania. The homeland is in danger, and we have risen up,” she said.
