Tanker Struck by Missile in Strait of Hormuz amid Regional Tensions

A tanker has reported being struck by a missile of unidentified origin in the Strait of Hormuz, according to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), which operates under the UK Ministry of Defence.

Initial reports indicate that the incident occurred about 8 nautical miles, or approximately 15 kilometres, northeast of Lima, within the territorial waters of the Sultanate of Oman.
