The Violent Crime Unit at the Skopje Sector for Internal Affairs, specifically the Department for Blood and Sexual Offenses, has filed an expedited criminal complaint with the Skopje Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office against A.M. (41) and J.R. (34), both residents of Skopje. They are suspected of the criminal offense of “sexual assault and rape” under Article 186 of the Criminal Code.

According to the allegations, the incident occurred on July 17, 2026, at around 9:45 p.m., along the Lisiçe-Dolno Lisiçe road. The two are suspected of having sexual intercourse, using physical force and threats, with a 32-year-old Serbian citizen who lives in Skopje.
A.M. and J.R. appeared before a pretrial judge, who ordered the temporary seizure of their travel documents as a precautionary measure.
