Well-known Italian blogger Valentina Ferragni has spoken openly about the harsh comments and attacks on her physical appearance, which intensified after the end of her relationship with Matteo Napoletano. Speaking on the “Corporea” podcast, the 33-year-old influencer said that the breakup was used by many people on social media as an opportunity to attack her and subject her to body shaming.
“When we broke up, people wrote under my former partner’s posts: ‘You did well to leave her because she’s fat,’” she said, recalling one of the harshest comments she had read. Valentina admitted that constant public exposure has forced her to develop a kind of shield against criticism.

However, she questioned why a woman’s body and weight continue to be so frequently at the centre of discussions.
“When they criticise my body, I laugh. I’m used to it now and I say, ‘Okay.’ But is this really the only thing we can talk about?” she said.
The younger sister of Italian billionaire Chiara Ferragni stressed that she does not want to live by chasing unattainable beauty standards. For her, what matters most is that people see a healthy and happy person, regardless of whether she has a few more or fewer kilograms.
“I hope that when they see my body, their first thought is that I am well and healthy. I hope they see a happy person who does not care if she does not wear a size 38,” she stated. Valentina and Matteo Napoletano began their relationship in 2023 and had recently decided to live together in Milan.
However, during the spring of 2026, the absence of photos of them together and several details on social media fuelled suspicions that the relationship had ended.
Neither of them has publicly revealed the reasons for the breakup. Following this period, Valentina appears to have opened a new chapter in her personal life. According to “Chi” magazine, she was photographed in Portofino during a romantic lunch with a Colombian entrepreneur whose identity has not yet been made public.
