On Thursday, Kosovo extradited to Sweden a citizen of Kosovo who also holds Swedish citizenship, as he was wanted by the Swedish authorities for the criminal offense of drug trafficking.
According to the police statement, the process was carried out by the Directorate for International Police Cooperation, in coordination with the relevant units of law enforcement bodies and justice institutions.

The extradited person, identified by the initials E.K., had been detained in Kosovo after an international wanted notice had been issued against him by INTERPOL, at the request of Sweden’s justice institutions, for the criminal offense of “Drug trafficking.”
Police stressed that the extradition was carried out in accordance with the legislation in force, within the framework of close cooperation between the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and the Swedish authorities.
