After rallies held in Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia, a similar protest will also be held today in Croatia, starting at 18:00, calling for the release of the former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army. The final decision on them is expected to be delivered on September 16 at 10:00.
According to the Organization of War Veterans of the Kosovo Liberation Army, there is hope that this will be the last protest, as they believe that in September the liberators will return home.

The Kosovo Specialist Chambers have charged former Kosovo president Hashim Thaçi, former parliament speakers Kadri Veseli and Jakup Krasniqi, as well as former MP Rexhep Selimi, with war crimes and crimes against humanity.
All four have rejected the charges against them. Since the start of the court proceedings in 2023, protests in support of them have been held in Kosovo and in other countries as well.
