Ferati said that strengthening direct dialogue, sharing experiences and creating concrete partnerships are the foundation for building a more integrated, more cooperative region that is closer to European standards.
During the meeting, the minister conveyed the message that taking relations between Albania and North Macedonia to a new level is a prerequisite for implementing the Ohrid Agreement even more effectively.
The sides also discussed the need to preserve good bilateral relations and ensure concrete institutional cooperation, particularly on issues related to communities, improving living standards, inclusion and strengthening social cohesion.
Ferati thanked his hosts for their hospitality and for the open and substantive discussion, which took place at a time when the Albanian Parliament was also considering the law on territorial reform of municipalities in Albania.
As part of the Balkan Business Forum, the minister also held a meeting with Jorida Tabaku, one of the leading figures of Albania’s Democratic Party, whom he described as a highly respected figure among international partners.
Discussions with Tabaku focused on cooperation within the European political family and the joint process of moving closer to the European Union.
“We will continue to move forward together on this European journey,” Ferati said, emphasizing the role of cooperation and partnerships in bringing the countries of the region closer to the European Union.
