Lawyer Arianit Koci has called for the amendments to the law on the Special Court to proceed to a second reading without imposing political conditions, with the aim of easing tensions.

According to him, political responsibility for this initiative lies with the PDK, while Vetëvendosje should bear responsibility if it stops the process for party-related reasons. Koci has criticized the political clashes, which, he says, are harming the state and society.
He said that the vote on the amendments should also be allowed in a second reading, emphasizing that this would be an initial measure to reduce tensions.
Koci said he did not consider this approach the most appropriate way to help the freedom fighters and the KLA, but added that, since the PDK supported the initiative in the first reading, it should also vote for it in the second reading.
He said that the PDK should assume the political consequences of this initiative, while VV would be responsible if it decided to block it for its own party interests.
The lawyer called for greater honesty in politics, criticizing the behavior of politicians who try to shift the blame onto one another. According to him, these clashes and “political games” are seriously harming the state and society.
