Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said today that talks by the working group on the Electoral Code could resume only after “the united opposition – The Left, SDSM and DUI” attends a meeting with a concrete proposal.

According to him, these parties are not participating in the meetings. Mickoski criticized The Left, saying that it is interested in using the money to go to Halkidiki, buy property and build cafés. “I do not know what SDSM wants. I can say that DUI knows what it wants, but that is impossible,” he said.
The prime minister urged the parties to reach an agreement, assuring them that the government would accept any deal that could be reached. However, he reiterated that the demand remains to facilitate diaspora voting in the 2029 presidential election.
“Let them sit down and reach an agreement. We will accept whatever they agree on, while VMRO-DPMNE’s condition is that diaspora voting in the 2029 presidential election be facilitated. This is our demand, and I think we are not asking for much,” Mickoski declared.
