According to them, the adoption of the law on the KLA should be listed among the Kosovo Assembly’s main priorities. The organizers urged lawmakers to reflect and take the necessary steps to move forward with a vote on the initiative.
Çlirim Haziri said that Albanian lawmakers have an obligation to the KLA and to the sacrifice of the fallen, on which, he said, Kosovo’s institutions were built.
“The KLA does not belong to political parties; the KLA belongs to the people. You are lawmakers elected by the people, and you have a moral, national and legal obligation to the people of Kosovo to reflect on their demands. The KLA should not be a secondary issue for Kosovo’s Parliament; it should be among the priorities of our lawmakers,” Haziri said.
Although the banner listed all members of the Kosovo Assembly, the organizers differentiated between Albanian representatives and lawmakers from the Serbian community. Regarding the latter, they said they did not expect support for the initiative.
