The main issues discussed were the election of Kosovo’s president and the Law on the Special Court.
The meeting between the two leaders took place a day after Kurti met with PDK leader Bedri Hamza. That meeting also produced no concrete agreement.

After the meeting, Abdixhiku left without speaking to the media and did not say whether any agreement had been reached on electing the president or on the Law on the Special Court.
Prime Minister Kurti also did not comment after the meeting.
The political talks are taking place in the final days of the deadline for electing Kosovo’s president. According to the announcement, the deadline for this process is August 6, while the Assembly has until October 6 to elect the new president.
If the president is not elected within the constitutional deadline, Kosovo will hold new elections. Political developments in the coming days are expected to determine the next steps toward completing the process.
