They say they are determined not to leave the boulevard until Prime Minister Edi Rama resigns, arguing that the scandals affecting his government, which are coming increasingly to light every day, are weakening it.
The protesters have sent messages to politicians, as well as to SPAK. A day earlier, after SPAK carried out searches at the premises of Ron Yeffet and other people linked to the KAYO company following the launch of an investigation into arms trafficking, the protesters called on the Prosecutor’s Office to also go after Edi Rama, making him the main person responsible.
Meanwhile, also today at 4:00 p.m., a protest is expected to take place in front of the European Commission building in Brussels. Albanians from the diaspora, from various European countries, will protest in front of the European institution to convey, as they put it, that the Albanian people should join the EU without Edi Rama.
“Albanians from the diaspora from all European cities will gather in Brussels in front of the European Commission because EU institutions deserve to hear another version, in addition to that of Edi Rama and Ursual Von der Leyen.
We are here, and Albanians from the diaspora will be in Brussels to say that Albanian society deserves to enter the EU, but the government does not. That is why today we, too, from Tirana are launching a call that will echo in Brussels: Albania in the EU, without Edi Rama,” activist Sidorela Vatnikaj emphasized a day earlier.
