Acting President of Kosovo Albulena Haxhiu has invited the family members of former Kosovo Liberation Army leaders Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi to a meeting.

According to media sources within the Presidency, invitations have been sent to the Thaçi, Veseli, Krasniqi and Selimi families. The meeting is expected to take place this week, although the time has not yet been set.
The invitation comes after the Special Court in The Hague sentenced Hashim Thaçi and Jakup Krasniqi to 25 years in prison each on September 16, Kadri Veseli to 18 years and Rexhep Selimi to 13 years. Their sentences total 81 years in prison.
Shqipe Selimi, a member of parliament from the Vetëvendosje Movement and the wife of Rexhep Selimi, has confirmed that she received the invitation and will attend the meeting.
Altin Krasniqi, the son of Jakup Krasniqi, also said that his family had received the invitation. However, he clarified that no final decision had yet been made regarding attendance.
“Yes, we have received an invitation, but we have not yet confirmed our attendance,” Krasniqi said.
