About 13 9mm cartridge cases have been seized as material evidence at the scene where Artan Myrtaj was killed in Saranda, while police have questioned around 20 people who were in the area at the time of the assassination.

Investigators are also working with the city’s security cameras. Some of the footage has been accessed and is being analyzed, while other cameras have not yet been accessed.
Meanwhile, checks are continuing on the roads leading out of Saranda, where roadblocks have been set up to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
One of the leads being investigated is that the assassination was carried out by contract killers, while the possibility that the killing was part of an ongoing conflict that began after last July’s incident, in which Ernest Lama and Gëzim Hajdaraj were wounded by gunfire, has not been ruled out. So far, police have not confirmed a motive for the killing.
