Prime Minister Edi Rama has once again commented on judges’ salaries in Albania in a social media post, addressing the latest decision to increase them.

Rama writes that a junior judge in Albania currently earns around 500 euros more per month than a colleague in Greece.

According to the prime minister, under the decision recently adopted, the salary of a junior judge in Albania will be around 2,000 euros higher than that of a judge in Greece and around 3,000 euros higher than the salary of a colleague in Montenegro.

“A junior judge in Albania today receives a salary 500 euros higher than a colleague in Greece, and under the decision taken, come what may, the salary should increase by 2,000 euros more per month than that of the Greek colleague and 3,000 euros more than that of the colleague in Montenegro…”, writes Rama, who has also published some comparative data.
