The VLEN coalition is in the final stage of consultations with its governing majority partners regarding the distribution of positions at the second level of the executive branch. The vacant posts are at the center of discussions, while the formalization of all new appointments is expected to take place by the end of this month, INA reports.

According to sources within the coalition, the parliamentary majority partners continue to review the names of potential candidates. However, signals so far indicate that the cabinet will not undergo major structural changes, apart from two new appointments in important ministries.
The announced reorganization is linked to previous changes in the government cabinet. In this context, VLEN aims to maintain political balance within the coalition by taking two deputy minister posts, namely in Health and in Social Policy.
This change is expected to be carried out through a reshuffle, without affecting the overall political weight of the forces in government. VLEN will give up the deputy minister post in Agriculture, which is expected to go to VMRO-DPMNE, as well as the deputy minister post in Culture. The latter could go to VMRO-DPMNE or the ZNAM movement, since the responsible minister is from VLEN’s ranks.
Meanwhile, unofficially, VLEN is discussing the possibility of also taking a position in Energy and Digital Transformation.
Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski previously stated that the full composition of the second echelon and the respective names will be formalized during the second half of October. /INA/
