Although the heating season officially begins on October 15, regulations allow it to be activated earlier, from October 1 to 15. This may happen if the forecast for the following day’s average outdoor temperature is 12 degrees Celsius or lower.
AD ESM announced that, according to data from the Hydrometeorological Affairs Directorate, the average outdoor temperature on October 13 is expected to be 12°C. This level meets the criteria for the production, transmission and supply of thermal energy, in accordance with the decision of the Energy Regulatory Commission.
ESM also announced that until October 15, information will be published daily on the ESM Supply website on whether the conditions have been met for the supply of heating energy during the following day.
Under the applicable rules, during October and the first half of November, when weather conditions often change, the intensity of supply is determined by air temperatures at different times of the day.
