Vigan Qorrolli, an MP from the Vetëvendosje Movement, has given his account of the events that took place yesterday during the traditional reception organized for members of the diaspora.

In his public statement, he said he attended the event alongside MPs Ardian Gola and Adnan Rrustemi. According to Qorrolli, they faced attacks, incoherent remarks and provocations aimed at escalating the situation into a physical confrontation.
The LVV MP identified Mërgim Lushtaku, Artan Behrami, Eman Rrahmani and Ganimete Musliu from the PDK as being involved, while he also named Teuta Haxhiu from the AAK.
Qorrolli said that he and his colleagues remained calm and did not respond to the provocations at any point. He stressed that they go to the Assembly to engage in politics, not wrestling or kickboxing.
According to him, what happened cannot simply be considered a political clash, as the situation had gone beyond the bounds of debate.
He said that when Mërgim Lushtaku attacked Adnan Rrustemi, Eman Rrahmani turned on Ardian Gola and Artan Behrami subsequently attacked him, it was no longer a rational discussion. Qorrolli described it as a dangerous scene and an ugly display of outright political violence.
The MP stressed that Kosovo must oppose a model of politics that, after running out of arguments, attempts to communicate with its fists.
He said that LVV would not back down, emphasizing that Kosovo must not return to a time when political opponents were viewed as enemies and discussion was replaced by violence.
Concluding his statement, Qorrolli said Kosovo would prevail in its confrontation with evil, including what he described as degraded politics that seeks blood and violence to conceal its political emptiness.
In his full statement, Qorrolli wrote that yesterday, together with fellow MPs Ardian Gola and Adnan Rrustemi, he attended the annual traditional reception for members of the diaspora, which he described as a long-standing tradition. He said they encountered an ugly display of old-style politics there, characterized by attacks, incoherent outbursts and deliberate provocations that escalated into a physical confrontation.
He listed Mërgim Lushtaku, Artan Behrami, Eman Rrahmani and Ganimete Musliu from the PDK, as well as Teuta Haxhiu from the AAK.
Qorrolli reiterated that they maintained their composure and did not respond to the provocation at any point, as their purpose in the Assembly is to engage in politics, not wrestling or kickboxing.
According to him, after Lushtaku attacked Adnan, Eman lunged at Ardian and Behrami later attacked Qorrolli himself, the situation could no longer be described as a rational debate. He considered it a dangerous scene and an ugly display of direct political violence.
Qorrolli insisted that it was, quite simply, violence.
He said Kosovo must reject precisely this way of conducting politics, which, when it runs out of arguments, tries to express itself with its fists.
The LVV MP stressed that they would not stop.
He said the reason was that Kosovo could not return to the past, when political rivals were considered enemies and violence took the place of debate.
In closing, Qorrolli said Kosovo would triumph in the battle against evil, including the degraded politics that, according to him, seeks blood and violence to cover up its political failings.
