Further details and security camera footage from the serious incident that occurred at midday today, September 3, in Orikum have been released. The owner of a seaside resort reported that he was threatened by armed individuals, while the recordings seized by the State Police document the moment when at least 8 vehicles arrived at high speed and surrounded the area in front of the business entrance.
At around 10:30 a.m., the cameras filmed the vehicles as they blocked the main road and the complex’s parking lot. Several people dressed in black got out of the cars and moved quickly toward the resort entrance to threaten the owner.

After the victim’s immediate notification, the police intervened urgently, blocking main intersections and setting up checkpoints on several road axes in Vlora. During the area search, near Pusi i Mezinit, officers spotted one of the suspected vehicles, which was moving at breakneck speed to evade arrest, and they began a pursuit.
In an attempt to flee, the driver lost control of the vehicle and was involved in a serious accident. Inside the overturned vehicle, the police found three people and a firearm, a pistol. Two of the suspects were injured in the crash and are being treated by doctors under police guard, while the third person was not hurt.
Under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, a special investigative group has been set up. Investigators are examining the security camera recordings and evidence gathered at the scene, aiming to fully clarify the motives behind the incident, as well as to identify and bring in other persons involved in the resort siege.
