The US Embassy in Skopje has announced that starting July 15, 2026, a new payment system will be introduced for American Citizen Services, including passports and notarial services.
According to the announcement, cash, credit cards, or any other form of payment will no longer be accepted at the consular window. All fees must be paid in advance online through the official Pay.gov portal.

American citizens who have an appointment at the US Embassy in Skopje must log into the portal, complete the payment online, and then print the electronic confirmation, which they must present during their in-person appointment.
