Donald Trump has commented for the first time on the situation involving Kimberly Guilfoyle, the former United States ambassador to Greece, expressing his displeasure over recently published reports.
During an interview with Newsmax on Thursday evening, the US president was asked whether Guilfoyle could face legal consequences and whether he would consider pardoning her.

“I was disappointed by what I read; I have not spoken with her,” Trump said, adding that he did not want to consider the possibility of pardoning her.
Trump said he had known Guilfoyle for many years, but clarified that their relationship had not been close. He also mentioned that she had been married to Gavin Newsom, the governor of California.
Although he expressed disappointment over the reports, Trump praised Guilfoyle’s commitment during her diplomatic assignment in Greece, stating that she had done a good job as ambassador.
“She is capable, but when I read what had been written, I was surprised and disappointed,” the US president declared.
Trump’s reaction comes after media reports were published containing allegations involving Guilfoyle. The reports have raised questions about her future and the possibility that she could face legal difficulties. The president provided no further details and reiterated that he had not communicated with her.
