On Wednesday afternoon, the city of Elbasan and the surrounding areas were hit by heavy downpours, which caused temporary problems for road traffic.
For three consecutive days, Elbasan County has been characterized by unstable weather. High temperatures prevailed during the morning, while heavy rainfall and local storms were recorded in the afternoon hours.

This afternoon’s rainfall, accompanied by electrical activity and numerous lightning strikes, was very intense for several minutes, significantly reducing visibility on the main roads.
Difficulties in vehicle movement were reported հատկապես on the Elbasan–Peqin road axis, where drivers faced difficult traffic conditions.
Police have urged drivers to exercise increased caution, maintain a safe distance, and adjust their speed according to weather conditions.
