The highest readings were recorded in Berat, with 47°C in the sun and 42°C in the shade.
According to meteorologists, Tuesday will bring a slight drop in temperatures, but it will not be noticeable due to the humidity.
From Friday, cooler conditions will become more pronounced, accompanied by rain showers.
However, in the coming days, the country is expected to be hit by another wave of African heat.
