The students say they have protested peacefully for 135 days without being heard and are now determined to continue their revolt. They describe the protests as a direct expression of their concerns and dissatisfaction with the government.

Tensions remain high in the capital. Police have used large quantities of tear gas to disperse protesters gathered on the boulevard near the prime minister’s office.

Amid continuing clashes, another object was reportedly set on fire on the boulevard during the protest.

Dissatisfaction with the government has also sparked protests outside Tirana. The movement has spread to several cities across the country, including Vlora, Durrës, Korça and Shkodra.

Calling for change, the students and protesters stress that they are acting independently, with no behind-the-scenes political support or influence.

Police intervention and tear gas have not changed the protesters’ stance, and they say they will continue their resistance. They see the revolt as a response to the government’s failure to respond to the demands they have put forward.
