Within the next two days, funds will be transferred to the bank accounts of 456 oncology patients who applied for one-off financial support, Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski announced.

A total of 1,200 patients have applied for the measure, while the documents submitted by the remaining applicants are still under review.
Gjorgjievski said the 456 beneficiaries will receive the funds tomorrow and the following day. According to him, the documentation of the remaining applicants is being processed with the utmost responsibility and dedication, while payments to all applicants are expected to be completed next week.
He explained that the measure aims to provide direct assistance to citizens facing serious health conditions.
The Skopje mayor said institutions have a duty to stand by their fellow citizens not only through words, but also by showing care and compassion and providing tangible support.
