According to the party, although the government majority consists of nearly 80 MPs, it was unable to guarantee even the presence necessary for the session to continue.

SDSM accused government MPs of rejecting initiatives in the interest of citizens, including the Law on a Minimum Wage of 600 euros and the Law on Support for Farmers.

“There are no funds for citizens, while funds are available only for criminal tenders,” SDSM said in its response.

The party explained that its MPs and those of its coalition did not take part in the session in protest, after VMRO-DPMNE, VLEN and ZNAM voted against the draft law on financial support for farmers.

SDSM stressed that the government initially rejected concrete assistance for farmers and then failed to create the conditions for parliamentary work to continue.

“Securing a quorum is the responsibility of the government majority. Citizens pay MPs to work, pass laws and address the problems that concern them,” the statement said./Telegrafi
