Protesters are continuing their march through the streets of the capital, demanding the departure of Prime Minister Edi Rama. During the march, they called on citizens to join them, stressing that they will continue their mobilization until Prime Minister Rama resigns.
During the march, the protesters invited citizens to join the gathering with chants of “Join us” and “Get up from your coffee.” Another slogan repeated continuously was “Rama, resign,” describing it as the protest’s main demand.

THE PROTESTERS’ DEMANDS:
This nationwide and peaceful protest demands the following:
1. The non-negotiable resignation of the prime minister and the government.
2. The creation of a non-partisan transitional technical government with a 12-month mandate.
3. Constitutional changes so that all Albanian citizens are equal before the law, as well as their approval through a popular referendum, including among other things: changes to the Electoral Code, changes to the law on the financing of political parties and various organizations, and limiting the office of prime minister to no more than two terms, full or partial, throughout an individual’s entire political life.
4. At the same time, they demand the cancellation of the changes made to the law on protected areas, the cancellation of the changes made to the law on cultural heritage, the repeal of the Mountains Package, as well as the repeal of the status and legal framework for strategic investments.
5. A new social contract is being demanded between citizens and the state, to be drafted after consultation with intellectuals, technical experts, and non-partisan citizens proposed from the protest square.
