The Elbasan–Cërrik road, near the village of Kuqan, has been blocked for about three hours due to the collapse of a 20-meter linear section of an irrigation canal.

As a result of the damage to the canal, water has overflowed its bed, carrying with it soil and materials from the surrounding hills.
Water and mud have ended up on the road, complicating and eventually blocking vehicle traffic on this segment.
The situation has created significant problems for drivers traveling on the Elbasan–Cërrik route, as traffic remains interrupted in the affected area.
It is not yet known whether the canal collapse was caused by structural deterioration or by other factors.
