North Macedonia’s Parliament is opening its 121st session today, with 53 items on the agenda. Among the issues to be considered is the proposal to appoint Arlinda Hasani Sinani as deputy governor of the National Bank of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Lawmakers are expected to vote on Hasani Sinani’s candidacy, which follows a public competition held by the National Bank for the vacant position.
The session also includes the first-reading consideration of the Draft Law on the Reporting and Verification of Foreign Direct Investments, as well as the Draft National Strategy for Road Traffic Safety 2026–2030.
The agenda also includes a vote on granting consent to the Statute of the Regulatory Commission for Energy, Water Services and Municipal Waste Management Services.
Lawmakers will also consider several ratifications of conventions and agreements concerning civil aviation, cooperation on the repatriation of persons residing irregularly, and defense cooperation with Lithuania, Slovenia and Portugal.
As part of the session, a considerable number of draft laws under expedited procedure will also be considered, mainly aimed at harmonizing legislation with the Law on Senior Management Officials.
Parliament is also expected to review the 2025 Annual Report of the Agency for the Protection of the Right to Free Access to Public Information.
