Elon Musk continues to oppose Ukraine’s use of the Starlink network for military strikes deep inside Russian territory, sources cited by the Kyiv Independent report.

Ukraine wants to use SpaceX technology to bolster drone operations and strike Russian military targets, including ballistic missile launchers.
According to the sources, Musk believes that such use of Starlink would escalate the war and would not contribute to establishing peace. The issue has also been discussed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump, but so far the parties have failed to reach an agreement.
Negotiations between Musk and Ukraine’s former Defense Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov, reportedly ended without results. It is also unclear whether the final decision rests with SpaceX or the US administration.
For Ukraine, Starlink remains a key element in the development of drone operations, while the aim is for the technology to also be used against Russian ballistic missile systems.
