During an interview with Fox News, conducted after attending a tribute to American Senator Lindsey Graham — whom he praised as “a great friend of the Ukrainian people” — Zelensky revealed that Russian forces suffer around 30,000 casualties each month.

“Every month, Putin loses 30,000 soldiers. These are colossal losses, yet he still refuses to stop this war. That’s why the initiative no longer belongs to him,” the Ukrainian head of state declared.

He added that Ukraine, the United States, and European partners all share the same ultimate goal: to end the war.

“We aim to end this conflict. President Trump wants this, and so do the Europeans. Only Putin does not desire it. We are tirelessly seeking for the fighting to stop. This requires our response, that we show ourselves resolute and strong. We rely on sanctions. Lindsey Graham’s bill was extremely important,” he noted.

A day earlier, on July 28, Zelensky was received at the White House by U.S. President Donald Trump. Zelensky himself described the meeting as “positive and productive.”

After the talks, he shared his impressions on social media: “We had a fruitful meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office. I am grateful for everything we are achieving together to protect the lives of Ukrainians and to advance peace.”

The Ukrainian president said that at the beginning of the discussion, he expressed condolences to his American counterpart for the loss of Senator Lindsey Graham, before moving on to issues of military cooperation between the two countries.

According to Zelensky, the main topics were licenses for building Patriot interceptor missiles and other plans that could benefit Ukraine. At the same time, the two leaders discussed reviving the diplomatic path, while their teams will continue working on the details of future communications.

The President of Ukraine did not hesitate to express his gratitude for the constant support the United States has provided to his country.
