More than 45,000 hectares of land have been scorched by a major fire that broke out in Ores, near Zaragoza, in northeastern Spain. Authorities estimate that the situation could be brought under control after several days.
Roberto Bermúdez de Castro, a representative of the regional government of Aragon, said the fire has complex characteristics. According to him, efforts to extinguish the flames and ensure safety along the perimeter are expected to take several days.

Due to the danger, many villages have been evacuated and several roads have been closed to protect residents. No casualties have been reported by authorities so far.
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez responded on the X platform, saying that he was closely monitoring the situation. He urged citizens to exercise great caution and follow the authorities’ instructions.
The fire comes just days after another serious disaster in Spain. On July 9, a forest fire in Andalusia claimed the lives of 13 people and affected around 70,000 hectares of land.
