The LSDM party has leveled accusations that, despite numerous justifications and attempts to shift blame, institutions have still not been held accountable for the contaminated water case in Gostivar.

According to this party, Health Minister Sasho Klekovski has admitted that institutions did not react in time, because, as they put it, they did not notice the alarm signal, which for LSDM constitutes confirmation of institutional failure.
The party pointed out that so far, no competent institution has admitted responsibility for what happened, and that the executive, instead of providing explanations, is trying to pass the blame onto others.
LSDM’s statement emphasizes that if such an incident had occurred in a European Union member state, the authorities would have been held accountable before the prosecutor and appropriate legal proceedings would have been initiated.
Also, LSDM claims that the judiciary is under political control and this lack of independence precisely causes the lack of institutional accountability. They add that citizens are suffering the consequences, while none of the authorities are being held responsible.
