Naureda Llagami and Jordan Daci are the first two candidates to pass the initial stage after meeting all the requirements to continue competing for the position of Constitutional Court judge.

The Justice Appointments Council has decided not to allow Lulzim Hamitaj to continue his candidacy. He may appeal the decision.
No decision has yet been made on the candidacies of Genc Gjonçaj, Helena Papa, Alban Toro, Arta Vorpsi and Brunilda Bara, whose eligibility to continue in the process is still being reviewed.
After completing the review of all the candidacies, the Justice Appointments Council will begin the points-based assessment. The three highest-ranked candidates will be forwarded to the President of the Republic and Parliament.
The President will select one of the three names, while all three candidates will be put to a vote in Parliament.
The two vacancies on the Constitutional Court were created by the resignation of Elsa Toska and the end of Sonila Bejte’s term.
The process of appointing replacements for the two Constitutional Court judges has exceeded every deadline set by law.
