Large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on Russia leaves one dead and four injured

One person has died and four others have been injured in a Ukrainian drone attack on Russia’s Perm region, Russian authorities said.

According to Perm Governor Dmitry Makhonin, air defense systems managed to repel a “massive” drone attack. However, a residential building was hit and damaged.

The person who died and those injured were inside the apartment building affected by the attack. The injured were taken for medical treatment.

If confirmed, the incident would constitute one of the Ukrainian attacks carried out at the greatest distance inside Russian territory. Perm is located around 1,600 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.

So far, Russian authorities have not released any further information about the scale of the attack or possible damage in other areas.
