Large fire on the hill near Mëmlisht, flames threaten pine forest

A fire broke out this afternoon on a hill near the village of Mëmlisht in Pogradec.

Fanned by the wind, the flames spread rapidly and endangered the pine forest in the area.

Dozens of fire and rescue personnel, two firefighting vehicles, and forestry service employees have been deployed to deal with the situation on the ground.
